What happens to the details you share through this website, in plain English.
This website is run by HF Video Ltd, a video production company based in Bristol, UK. I'm Harry Facey, and I'm responsible for any personal data collected through this site. You can reach me at harry@hfvideo.co.uk.
Enquiry form. When you fill in the Start a project form, I collect your name, email, business name, budget, how you'd like to work and anything you tell me about your project. I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Newsletter. If you sign up to the newsletter, I collect your email address to send it to you. The lawful basis is your consent, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
Emails. If you email me directly, I keep that correspondence so I can reply and keep a record of our conversation.
I never sell your details or share them with anyone for their own marketing.

Some of these services store data outside the UK, under safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent.
This site doesn't use advertising cookies. Videos are embedded so that YouTube or Vimeo only load when you choose to play them. If I add website analytics in future, I'll update this page.
Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, usually six years. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can ask to see the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how I use it. Just email harry@hfvideo.co.uk and I'll reply within a month. If you're not happy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
